Associate Professor Tsukada has been appointed as a member of the “Study Group on Realization of Safe and Secure Metaverse” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), following on from his appointment in 2022 to the Study Group on Utilization of Metaverse for the Web3 Era.
1 Purpose
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), in anticipation of a significant increase in the market size and number of users of the metaverse in the future, will study principles based on democratic values to realize a safer and more secure metaverse for users, and will also contribute to international discussions on the metaverse, considering that services related to the metaverse will be provided across national borders. In addition, the new Study Group on Realization of Safe and Secure Metaverse will be held with the aim of contributing to the discussion of the “Safe and Secure Metaverse” as well as to the discussion of the “Safe and Secure Metaverse”.
In addition, the Study Group will continue the work of the “Study Group on Utilization of Metaverse and Other Metaverse for the Web3 Era” (hereinafter referred to as the “Previous Study Group”). The Study Group shall continue to study the issues for the development of the metaverse, etc. and the direction of issue resolution presented in the report, for which continuous follow-up is required.2 Research Matters
