The ASPIRE (Adopting Sustainable Partnerships for Innovative Research Ecosystem) project, led by Professor Hiroshi Esaki of the University of Tokyo and Professor Tarik Taleb of Ruhr University Bochum (RUB), held its kickoff meeting at RUB from February 29 to March 1, 2024. The meeting brought together researchers from both universities to discuss the project’s goals and objectives, which include developing an open digital infrastructure through the convergence of telecommunications and artificial intelligence (AI). The meeting featured technical discussions, presentations on research activities, and meetings with RUB faculty and leadership. The ASPIRE project is funded by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and is expected to run for five years.Read more
